Circles Highlights: Lunar New Year!
February 12th begins the year of the Metal Ox and promises to bring positive energy, creativity and abundance into our lives. This Lunar New Year is predicted to be very lucky and will offer the perfect time to start living a new, focusing on relationships and prioritizing our responsibilities.
The year of the Metal Ox will call for much personal strength, determination, organization and discipline - so finding a balance between home, work and social life will be key. *Circles Highlights Tip: practicing Feng Shui can be extremely beneficial, most especially during this Lunar New Year!
Why Feng Shui? The ancient Chinese practice of Feng Shui charts the balance of energy, or chi, via five elements: earth, metal, water, wood, and fire. These five elements are considered to be interrelated phases in life that work together to create a complete system. The practice of Feng Shui works to balance the five elements and yin with yang to make the most of a living space or work environment by harmonizing the overall energy flow.
Feng Shui offers a relatively simple way to arrange pieces in your environment that will invite the positive chi in - resulting in a life overall, that will feel harmonious, energized and balanced.
Getting started - the Bagua Map: The bagua map (which translates to "eight trigrams" in Chinese) is an important tool used to divide your space into nine separate areas, each one relating to a certain focus/goal. The center of the bagua is considered to be the heart of the space and where energy is distributed from. Once you have organized a particular space, (either using a directional compass or via front-door method as pictured above) you can focus on enhancing the energies in each area to meet your own personal goals in life (through incorporating the five elements along with colors, statues, crystals, and more!)
